Secondhand books. First-hand wonder.

Our Story

It started with our son — our Little Lion.

We wanted to give him the best possible start as a lifelong reader, by surrounding him with as many books as we could, as early as we could. Every weekend we’d set out to find him more — new ones, old ones, whatever we could get our hands on.

But good English children’s books in Chiang Mai were hard to find, and when we did find them, they weren’t cheap. Building a home library for a growing child was becoming a real cost problem — and we knew we weren’t alone. Other parents wanted the same thing: affordable books, good condition, easy to find.

So we opened a little shop in Hang Dong and filled it with carefully selected secondhand books at prices that made building a home library actually possible. Families came. Friendships formed. A community grew.

That community is what Little Lion is really about.

What We Believe

Readers are leaders. We value books — not as objects, but as the doors they open for a child.

Books are one of the best gifts you can give a child. Not because they’re educational — though they are — but because a child who reads grows into an adult who can think, imagine, and understand the world on their own terms.

We also believe great books shouldn’t sit in one home gathering dust when another child could love them. Every book we sell has already been loved once. Passing it on is the whole point.

How We Work

Every book on our shelves — and in our online store — has been hand-selected and assessed. We keep things simple: books are either in Good condition or Fair condition, clearly marked, so you always know what you're getting.

We ship nationwide across Thailand, and our shop in Chiang Mai is open for browsing whenever you want to bring your little one in person.
