About Our books


What condition are the books in?

Every book at Little Lion is graded either Good or Fair — clearly marked on every product page before you buy.

Good — Clean, well-kept, and ready to read. May show minimal signs of previous ownership but nothing that affects the reading experience.

Fair — Shows signs of previous love. There may be minor marks, light wear, or a slightly worn cover. The content is always complete and fully readable. Fair books are a great choice if you want a great read at the best possible price.

Every book is hand-assessed by our team before it goes on the shelf or online. We don't list books we wouldn't be happy to give our own son.

Are these books in English only?

Yes — Little Lion specialises in English language children's books. This is our focus and our strength.

How do you select your books?

Every book is hand-picked and checked by our team in Chiang Mai. We assess condition, completeness, and suitability before anything goes on sale. Books that don't meet our standard don't make it to the shelf.

Do you take book donations or buy secondhand books?

We don't currently accept donations or purchase books directly. However, we're exploring a store credit programme — where you bring in books that meet our quality standard and receive store credit to use in the shop. Watch this space, or follow us on Facebook for updates when we launch it.

Ordering & Payment


How do I place an order?

Browse our online shop, add books to your cart, and checkout — it's straightforward. You'll receive a confirmation email with your order details and tracking number once your order is packed and shipped.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

​• Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard)

​• Bank transfer via QR code / PromptPay

Payment is processed securely at checkout.

Can I order by phone or LINE?

For now, all orders are placed through our online shop. If you're having trouble, contact us and we'll do our best to help.


Shipping & Delivery


Do you ship nationwide?

Yes — we ship to every province in Thailand. All orders are packed and dispatched from our shop in Chiang Mai.

Which carrier do you use?

We primarily use Flash Express, with other carriers used as needed depending on your location and order size.


How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated by weight and distance and applied automatically at checkout — so you'll see the exact cost before you confirm your order. No surprises.


How long will my order take to arrive?

Delivery times vary by region. Most orders within Northern Thailand arrive in 1–2 days. Bangkok and Central Thailand typically 2–3 days. More remote provinces may take a little longer. Once your order ships you'll receive a tracking number so you can follow it all the way to your door.


Will I get a tracking number?

Yes — every order includes a tracking number. You'll receive it by email once your order has been dispatched.


Do you offer gift wrapping?

We don't offer gift wrapping at this time. However, our books are carefully packed to arrive in great condition — and a secondhand book with a handwritten note from you is a gift in itself.

Return & Exchanges


What is your returns policy?

Because every book is graded and described clearly before purchase, we ask that you review the condition information carefully before ordering. That said, we know things don't always go to plan — if there's a problem with your order, please contact us within 7 days of receiving it and we'll do our best to make it right.

We handle each situation individually and always aim to find a fair solution.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If a book arrives damaged in transit, please take a photo and contact us straight away. We'll sort it out.

Schools & Book Fairs


Do you supply schools?

Yes — we work with international and local schools across Thailand. We've run book fairs and supplied bulk orders for school libraries. If your school is interested, get in touch and we'll talk through what works best for you.


Can schools get bulk pricing?

Bulk orders for schools are handled directly — contact us with your requirements and we'll put together a proposal.

Visiting The Shop


Where is Little Lion located?

We're in Hang Dong, Chiang Mai. Full address, opening hours, and a map are on our Visit Us page.

Can I browse in person and buy online later?

Absolutely. Our in-store and online stock overlap but aren't always identical — online stock is updated regularly so it's always worth checking both.

Little Lion Rewards


How do Little Lion Rewards work?

Create a free account and you'll earn 1 point for every ฿1 you spend online — automatically, every time you order. There's no cost to join, and you start earning on your very next order.

Can I earn points in your Chiang Mai shop?

Not yet — for now, Little Lion Rewards is an online programme, so points are earned on orders placed through our website. We'd love to bring rewards to our shop too, and we're working on it. Watch this space.

How many points do I need, and what are they worth?

1,000 points = ฿50 off your order. Every ฿1,000 you spend earns you ฿50 back to use on future books.

How do I redeem my points?

Once you've reached 1,000 points, apply your ฿50 reward at checkout while signed in to your account.

Do my points expire?

Yes — to keep things simple, all points reset to zero once a year on 1 May, so be sure to use them by 30 April. Points don't carry over to the next year.
